Actor Eiza Gonzalez is all set to headline the upcoming thriller movie Wolf Country, which will be directed by Jennifer Fox, with a script by Peter Begler.

Described as a 'muscular thriller', Wolf Country is said to be in the vein of the 2016's Jeff Bridges Western Hell or High Water. A young deputy finds herself shunned by her entire community after she implicates her town's beloved sheriff, who also happens to be her father, while uncovering a large drug haul. Things take a worse turn when he escapes custody and flees into the rugged Colorado wilderness. The deputy now has to face the man who taught her everything about right and wrong and bring him to justice.

While Gonzalez will lead as the deputy, the role of her father is yet to be cast.

Director Fox recently directed Laura Dern in the HBO's The Tale. Writer Begler is well known for writing Hulu's series Chance.

Wolf Country is produced by Endeavor Content and 51 Entertainment. Additional producers include Lynette Howell Taylor and Samantha Housman.

Gonzalez's credits include Baby Driver, Alita: Battle Angel and Hobbs & Shaw. She was recently seen in Godzilla vs. Kong, Netflix’s I Care A Lot, and Universal's animated feature Spirit Untamed. Meanwhile, the actor just wrapped production on Ambulance co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal.
