Ilaiyaraaja starts composing music for Vetri Maaran-Soori-Vijay Sethupathi film 

We had previously reported that Vetri Maaran is working on a film that will star Soori as the protagonist. It was also speculated that Vijay Sethupathi would be playing an important role in the film. A source close to the film unit has confirmed that the 96 actor is indeed on board. This project will mark the first collaboration between Vetri Maaran and Vijay Sethupathi. Interestingly, Vetri Maaran is working with Ilaiyaraaja for the first time in this film, which will be produced by the director's Grass Root Film Company. 

This project has one more first attached to it. Post the controversy surrounding his erstwhile workspace at Prasad Studios, Ilaiyaraaja has now moved to the MM Preview theatre in Kodambakkam, and the composing for the film began today. 

The film, which will star Paava Kadhaigal-fame Bhavani Sre opposite Soori, has already gone on floors.

Velraj and Jacki, who have worked with Vetrimaaran in films like Aadukalam and Vada Chennai, are handling the cinematography and art direction for this film, respectively.
