Vishal 31 to be released this August

We had previously reported that Vishal will be teaming up with debutant director Thu Pa Saravanan, who is known for his short film Edhu Thevaiyo Adhuvey Dharmam. It's now known that this film, tentatively called Vishal 31, will be released this August.

The announcement was made with a video that features a black-and-white shot of a crowd of people, a portion of which transitions into the face of a rage-fuelled Vishal with bloodshot eyes. The video has a tagline that reads, 'Not A Common Man'. A source close to the film says that it will be the story of a common man standing up to the system. 

With music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film will be bankrolled by the actor's own production house Vishal Film Factory. The technical team includes art director SS Murthi, editor NB Srikanth, and cinematographer Balasubramaniem. 

Vishal, who was last seen in this year's Chakra, also has Enemy (alongside Arya) and his directorial debut Thupparivaalan 2 in different stages of production.
