SPB passes away: Appa will live in our hearts as long as his songs exist, says Charan

Veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam breathed his last in a private hospital in Chennai today. The 74-year-old was admitted in August after testing positive for Covid-19.

SPB's son and singer-producer Charan, who had been updating fans on the health of his father, officially broke the news to the press a while ago.

After thanking the doctors and nurses who took care of SPB, a teary-eyed Charan said, "Appa passed away at 01:04 pm. His name shall prevail as long as his songs exist and he will live in our hearts as long as we have you (his fans)."

The detailed health report of SPB is expected to be released by the hospital management soon.
