After Nani's V, Anushka Shetty and Madhavan-starrer Nishabdham is the latest film to confirm its direct-to-digital release on Amazon Prime. Directed by Hemant Madhukar, the 'cross-cultural thriller' will premiere in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam on October 2.

While there had been speculation for some time now that the film would get a direct OTT premiere, the makers and Amazon Prime confirmed the digital release today.

Nishabdham stars Anushka as mute artist Sakshi, Madhavan as celebrity musician Anthony, Anjali as Maha, a crime detective from the Seattle police department, Shalini Pandey as Sonali, voice of Sakshi, Subbaraju as Vivek, a wildlife photographer, and Hollywood actor Michael Madsen in the negative role of Richard Dickens, a cop from the Seattle police department.

The film was supposed to hit the screens on April 2, but had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
