Vijay Yesudas feels musicians don't get enough appreciation in Malayalam cinema

Despite having sung a plethora of songs in Malayalam cinema and winning three Kerala State awards, Vijay Yesudas feels that singers and composers are not getting the deserved respect in the industry.

In an interview with a Malayalam magazine, Vijay, who has been in the industry for two decades, said that he has decided to quit singing in Malayalam because he feels neglected in the industry. He also shared that his father, KJ Yesudas has had his share of negative experiences too, and added that this is not the case with Tamil and Telugu cinema.

Vijay Yesudas, who made his singing debut with the Malayalam film Millenium Stars, won his third state award for his song Poomuthole in Joju George-starrer Joseph.

On the acting front, he has the multilingual 3D film Salmon coming up next.
