Music director Raghu Dixit exits Love Mocktail sequel
Actor-director-producer Krishna, who is bankrolling the project along with Milana Nagaraj, is now said to be in talks with Nakul Abhyankar
Music director Raghu Dixit, who was supposed to team up with actor-filmmaker Krishna for Love Mocktail 2, has backed out of the project.
Raghu Dixit's work in the first part was one of the major highlights of the film, and Krishna, who officially launched Love Mocktail 2 in June, said that he was happy to work with the music director again. However, the duo has parted ways over business terms.
Actor Krishna, who is also producing and directing the film, confirmed the news and said, “As a director, I have always wanted to work with him, but as a producer, I could not afford him.” He added, “Since the business terms could not be worked out, we decided to change the plan.”
Krishna, who is bankrolling the project along with Milana Nagaraj, is now said to be in talks with music composer Nakul Abhyankar. However, an official confirmation in this regard is yet to come. It is also rumoured that Jhankar Music is in talks with the makers to buy the music rights of Love Mocktail 2.
“Music director-singer Nakul Abhyankar was part of Love Mocktail — he had sung two songs, Love you Chinna and Janumagale Kaayuve. We are in talks with him. For Love Mocktail, I worked on the music only after I completed the shooting, and I will be following the same pattern for the sequel as well. We will be concentrating on the re-recording and compositions only after I am done with the shooting,” said Krishna.
Love Mocktail 2 has Rachel David playing her first female lead role. Newcomer Sushmitha will be seen in an important role as well, and the film will also feature Kushi Achar and Abhilash.
Krishna had earlier mentioned that the sequel of Love Mocktail will be an emotional romantic drama. The film has SriCrazyMindz handling the cinematography as well as the editing.
