An action comedy, the film stars Akshay as a gangster and Kriti as a journalist

Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon to start shooting for Bachchan Pandey in January

Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon will start shooting for Bachchan Pandey in Jaisalmer next year. An action-comedy, the film was expected to go on floors in May this year but was delayed due to the pandemic.

Shooting of the film, directed by Farhad Samji, will commence in January 2021 and continue till March. A second female lead will join the cast soon.

In the film, Akshay essays a gangster while Kriti plays a journalist. Akshay and Kriti had previously collaborated on Housefull 4.

Akshay’s upcoming film is Laxmmi, premiering on Disney+ Hotstar on November 9. He has finished shooting for Bellbottom and is presently working on Prithviraj. He will also be wrapping up his portions for Aanand L Rai’s Aatrangi Re later this year. The film also stars Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan.

Kriti’s last release was Panipat (2019). She essays the role of a surrogate mother in the upcoming Mimi
