Indru Netru Naalai sequel scripting in final stage

We had earlier reported that Vishnu Vishal and Karunakaran will be reprising their roles from the original in the Indru Netru Naalai sequel, produced by CV Kumar’s Thirukumaran Entertainment. While the makers confirmed that a sequel is happening last year in July, there has been no update on it so far. This lead to speculations that the project is dropped as Vishnu Vishal has signed up a slew of films while director Ravikumar, who helmed the original, got busy with the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Ayalaan. But the makers put a full stop to these speculations when they tweeted out an update from their official handle. 

"Script in the final stage. Director Ravikumar sent us the first draft yesterday morning only. Scripting got delayed because of its complexity and as the director was busy with Tamil cinema's iconic movie Ayalaan. The script has come out very well and hilarious. It will be a feast to audience," read the tweet from Thirukumaran Entertainment's Twitter handle. While Miya George played the female lead in the original film, it has not been announced yet on who will play the female lead in the sequel.
