Coronavirus Outbreak: Idris Elba tests positive for COVID-19

Hollywood actor Idris Elba took to social media to announce he has been tested positive for coronavirus. Elba, who also posted a video featuring his wife Sabrina Dhowre, said she has not been tested and was "doing okay".
The Golden Globe-winning actor said he got tested after finding out on Friday that he had been in contact with someone who had the virus. "This is serious. Now is the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands," he said in the video. "Transparency is probably the best thing for this right now. If you're feeling ill, or you feel like you should be tested, or if you've been exposed, do something about it."
This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing No panic. pic.twitter.com/Lg7HVMZglZ— Idris Elba (@idriselba) March 16, 2020
The actor was one of the attendees of the Wembley Arena We Day event on March 4 alongside Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, who was also tested positive for the virus last week.
