Anushka Shetty on completing 15 years in film industry: I owe my success to all my directors
Anushka Shetty was recently felicitated by the leading directors of the Telugu film industry
It's a special year for Anushka Shetty as the actor is going to complete 15 years in cinema. On Thursday, the 38-year-old star was felicitated in Hyderabad to mark the occasion. The star-studded event was graced by directors K Raghavendra Rao, SS Rajamouli, Puri Jagannadh, and YVS Chowdary among others.
Sweety, as she is fondly known, said she was extremely delighted to achieve this feat and thanked her directors for making it possible. Anushka's first film, Super, directed by Puri Jagannadh was released on July 21, 2005.
"From Super to my upcoming film, Nishabdham, I owe my success to all my directors. Every film has been a stepping stone for me and I think my co-stars, producers and every member of the unit have scripted this success for me. I have delivered both hits and flops and I don’t think I have achieved anything bigger than many of my seniors, who are sharing the dais with me here. This milestone brings in more responsibility as an actor and I strive to work hard and keep the audience entertained with good films," said Anushka while analysing her career.
She will next be seen in Nishabdham, a cross-culture film directed by Hemant Madhukar. "As an actor, I always wanted to do movies that were different. My next film, Nishabdham is releasing on April 2. We, as a team, have made a sincere attempt to deliver a beautiful film with a unique storyline. I take this opportunity to thank the makers of Nishabdham for offering me this film," she signed off.
