Once Upon a Time-creators to develop Beauty and the Beast prequel series for Disney+
Actors Josh Gad and Luke Evans, who starred in Beauty and the Beast, are also part of the project, which is currently in the early development stage
Disney+ is set to develop a prequel limited series for the 2017 feature film Beauty and the Beast. Creators of Once Upon a Time, Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, and actors Josh Gad and Luke Evans, who starred in Beauty and the Beast, are also part of the project, which is currently in the early development stage.
The untitled series will be a six-episode musical event. Reports say no other stars from the film, including Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, are currently attached to the prequel series, though there are chances that they might make a guest appearance. Beauty and the Beast was released in March 2017 with Emma Watson and Dan Stevens in the lead roles.
Kitsis and Horowitz will serve as showrunners alongside Gad. Evans, Gad, Kitsis and Horowitz will all serve as executive producers, while the last three will all write scripts.
