Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru to be released on May 1?

By unveiling the single Veyyon Silli on a plane flying mid-air, Suriya and the makers of Soorarai Pottru have increased the expectations for the film by several folds. While the fans were expecting the film to be released in April, it is now said that Soorarai Pottru might only see the light of the day on May 1. 

Looks like the makers are looking forward to cashing in on the Worker’s Day, which is followed by the weekend holidays. 

However, other speculations state that the makers are yet to zero in on a release date as they are also brainstorming with two other potential dates. 

Directed by Sudha Kongara of Irudhi Suttru fame, the film stars Aparna Balamurali, Jackie Shroff, Urvashi, and Moha Babu. 

The film is based on the life-story of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath. GV Prakash has composed the music for the film.
