Suriya 's Soorarai Pottru gets U certificate

Suriya's next, Soorarai Pottru, has been censored with a U certificate. Recently, the actor had confirmed that the much-awaited film will be released only in the theatres.

Directed by Sudha Kongara, the big-budget film is loosely based on the life of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath. 

Aparna Balamurali plays the female lead in the film, which also has Karunas and Mohan Babu playing pivotal characters. Soorarai Pottru was shot in various locations including Hyderabad, Jaipur, Chhattisgarh, and Madurai.

Produced by Suriya’s own production 2D Entertainment and Guneet Monga, Niketh Bommireddy has handled the camera for the film and GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music.

An official update regarding the release is expected once the theatres reopen.
