Prithviraj Sukumaran (Ayyappanum Koshiyum, Driving Licence) is set to star in a yet-to-be-titled mega-budget epic that will be shot entirely using virtual production filmmaking technique, the kind employed on films like The Lion King and Avatar, and series like The Mandalorian.

A multilingual in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, it is being billed as "India's first movie to be shot completely in virtual production." Gokulraj Baskar is both the concept designer and director, with backing from Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames.

Sharing the news, Prithviraj wrote: "This is an exciting new chapter in the art and science of film making! So looking forward to this one! Changing times, newer challenges, innovative methods. And an epic story to tell."

The team is expected to make more announcements soon.
