Karthick Naren to direct a web series?

It looks like Karthick Naren will be helming a web series soon. In a recent social media interaction, a fan asked the young director when he would helm a sci-fi film. Karthick responded, “As a web series. Miga viraivil (Very soon).” He also added that he has written several scripts during this lockdown.

Incidentally, there is speculation that Karthick is one of the directors who are part of an Amazon series, which has Mani Ratnam as its showrunner. This series is said to be based on the navarasas, with nine directors helming the different portions.

Currently, Karthick is working on his upcoming film with Dhanush, which is being tentatively referred to as D43. This film is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films and has music by GV Prakash Kumar.
