It’s a wrap for Suriya's Soorarai Pottru

The shooting for Soorarai Pottru, Suriya’s upcoming film with Sudha Kongara, appear to have been completed. Several pictures of the crew celebrating the final day of shoot are circulating on social media. Speculations suggest that the team might be aiming for a Pongal release.

The film has Sarvam Thaala Mayam-fame Aparna Balamurali as the female lead. Soorarai Pottru also stars Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal, and marks the comeback of veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu, who was last seen in Tamil in the 1980 Rajinikanth-starrer Guru.

Soorarai Pottru has music by GV Prakash Kumar and cinematography by Niketh Bommireddy. The film is said to be loosely based on the life of the famous entrepreneur, GR Gopinath, the founder of India's first budget airline, Air Deccan.
