Rashmika Mandanna, who started out as a college-goer in Chalo and then turned software professional in Geetha Govindam, a cop in Devadas, and a cricketer in Dear Comrade, is all set to play a village girl in her upcoming film with Allu Arjun.

"Rashmika has carved a name for herself portraying versatile roles. She will be sporting a contrasting avatar to what we have seen in her previous films, and the makers are confident that her look in the film will yet again charm the masses. It's going to be a look that is apt for the story," reveals a source.

Dubbed AA 20, the yet-to-be-titled film set in the backdrops of Rayalaseema and Nellore, is based on red sanders smuggling. The film marks Rashmika's first collaboration with director Sukumar and Allu Arjun.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, AA 20 will be launched on October 3 in Hyderabad, and the project will go on floors in November.

Meanwhile, Rashmika is presently shooting for the Mahesh Babu-starrer Sarileru Neekevvaru. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, one schedule of the film was wrapped up in a specially constructed Konda Reddy Buruju set in Ramoji Film City (Hyderabad), yesterday, and the next schedule will begin near Chilkur Balaji Temple today.
