Abhishek Bachchan, Ileana D’Cruz start shooting for Kookie Gulati’s next

Abhishek Bachchan started shooting for his upcoming project on Monday. The yet-to-be-titled film is directed by Kookie Gulati and produced by Ajay Devgn Films. Ileana D’Cruz plays the female lead but is not paired opposite Abhishek. The story revolves around real events that took place between 1990 and 2000.

The actor took to Instagram to make the announcement. 

 

Abhishek had earlier collaborated with Ajay Devgn on Bol Bachchan. The Housefull 3 actor made his onscreen comeback in 2018’s Manmarziyaan. He also voiced the character Bagheera in the Hindi version of Andy Serkis’ Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle.

Besides Kookie’s film, Abhishek will be seen in Anurag Basu’s untitled next. The film, which also stars Rajkumar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra and Pankaj Tripathi, is set to release on January 24, 2020.

On the web front, Abhishek will be seen in Amazon Prime Video’s Breath Season 2. The retuning season also features Amit Sadh, Nithya Menen and Saiyami Kher
