Thalapathy Vijay's next directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj commences shoot with Pooja today

Vijay's upcoming film with Lokesh Kanagaraj, tentatively referred to as Thalapathy 64, went on floors today. The film is making the right noises with its casting announcements that was trending on social media over the past few days.

Thalapathy 64 is set to star Vijay Sethupathi, who is speculated to be the antagonist, Angamaly Diaries-fame Antony Varghese in his Tamil debut, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, and Petta-fame Malavika Mohanan as the female lead. 

Lokesh, who is currently awaiting the release of his second directorial, the Karthi-starrer, Kaithi, is collaborating with music director Anirudh Ravichander for the first time in Thalapathy 64. The editor and cinematographer of Kaithi, Philomin Raj and Sathyan Sooriyan, respectively, will also be part of this film.

Thalapathy 64 is scheduled to have a Summer 2020 release.
