The principal cast of SS Rajamouli's RRR revealed

Olivia Morris, Ray Stevenson, and Alison Doody have joined the period film

The principal cast of SS Rajamouli's next, RRR, was revealed today. The film, which stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead also features Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Samuthirakani. And it has now been announced that Olivia Morris, Ray Stevenson, and Alison Doody have joined the period film.

While Morris, a famous theatre artiste, will play one of the female leads, Ray Stevenson and Alison Doody will play the antagonists. The makers also revealed that Doody was a part of the film's first schedule and Morris and Stevenson will join the cast from the second schedule. 

Doody is known for playing a negative role in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Stevenson has starred in films such as Thor, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Kill the Irishman, and King Arthur.

Set in 1920s pre-independent India, RRR is a fictional story based on Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seetharama Raju, the legendary freedom fighters from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, respectively.

Produced by DVV Danayya, RRR is being shot in Telugu, and will later be dubbed into Hindi and the other South Indian languages. The film is expected to be released on July 30, 2020.
