Dimple Kapadia to return as Naini Devi in Dabangg 3
The actor, who was last seen in Welcome Back (2015), is set to make her Hollywood debut in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film Tenet, which will partly be shot in India
Dimple Kapadia, who played the role of Salman Khan’s mother in Dabangg (2010), will return to the franchise in Dabangg 3. Her character, Naini Devi, was killed off in the first instalment and was mentioned in a scene in Dabangg 2.
As per earlier reports, several original characters in the franchise, including Sonakshi Sinha’s Rajjo, Arbaaz Khan’s Makkhi and Mahie Gill’s Nirmala will be seen in the upcoming film. On the other hand, actors Nikitin Dheer and Kannada actor Sudeep have joined the cast as the main villains.
Directed by Prabhudheva, Dabangg 3 went on floors in Madhya Pradesh earlier this year. The film is a part-prequel and will explore the early life of Chulbul Pandey before he became a cop. Produced by Salman Khan Films, the film is scheduled for release on December 20.
