Shruti Haasan to sing for Prabhudheva-Tamannaah's Khamoshi

Actor-singer Shruti Haasan has lent her voice for a song in the upcoming Prabhudheva-Tamannaah-starrer Khamoshi

In a statement, Shruti said, "I've been directed by Prabhudheva sir. I am happy he is a part of the film, and what makes it super special is Tamannaah as she is one of my dearest friends. I'm glad to sing in her movie."

Interestingly, Shruti made her debut as a music director with Kamal Haasan's Unnai Pol Oruvan, which was also directed by Khamoshi's director, Chakri Toleti.

Shruti added, "Always happy to lend my voice to songs in films. Chakri is a director I have known for years and he directed the first film I composed music for. So it is special."

Khamoshi stars Tamannaah in the role of a deaf and mute girl, while Prabhudheva plays the lead antagonist. It also features Bhumika Chawla and Sanjay Suri in supporting roles.

Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, the Tamil version of the film, starring Nayanthara, is also set for release on June 14.
