Akshay Kumar-Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi to release on Eid 2020

Sooryavanshi, the first collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty, is set for release on Eid 2020. 

Akshay took to social media to announce the release date. 

Sooryavanshi is the third film in Rohit's cop universe after Singham and Simmba. The character Veer Sooryavanshi, an Anti-Terrorist squad officer, was first introduced in the Ranveer Singh-starrer Simmba, which also had Ajay Devgn in a cameo, appearing as Bajirao Singham. 

Karan Johar, who is co-producing Sooryavanshi under his Dharma Productions banner, also took to Twitter to announce the release date. 

The film is presented by Reliance Entertainment and produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez, in association with Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films.

Meanwhile, Akshay's upcoming release, Kesari, which is based on the Battle of Saragarhi, is set to hit the screens on March 21.
