Dhanya Ramkumar signs her first Kannada film

Reports of Dhanya Ramkumar (daughter of Poornima and actor Ramkumar) making her tinsel town debut has been doing the rounds for some time.

This now stands confirmed with the actor signing her first project. The yet-to-be-titled film will be directed by debutant Suman Jadhugar, the co-director of Silicon City,  Dhanya will be sharing screen-space with Suraj Gowda, who has also written the film's script. Suraj debuted with lyricist-turned-director Kaviraj's film,  Maduveya Mamatheya Kareyole.

With the lead cast confirmed, the project is all set to go on floors in July. Dhanya will be the first girl from the Rajkumar clan to enter the film industry. Incidentally. her brother Dheeren Rajkumar will also be making his debut, this year, with Daari Tappida Maga.
