Lyca Production updates on Suriya's Kaappaan 

Lyca Productions has made two big announcements on their upcoming production, Kaappaan, starring Suriya.

The date of the audio launch has been revealed. The film's audio will be revealed on July 17, Wednesday. The second major announcement is that the overseas rights of the multistarrer have been bagged by Phars Films.

Earlier, Sony Music South had bagged the audio rights of the film,

Suriya shares screen space with Mohanlal for the first time in Kaappaan, which has the actors play a special agent and the Prime Minister of India, respectively. The film, in addition, has an ensemble cast that includes the likes of Arya, Boman Irani, and Samuthirakani. Sayyeshaa plays the female lead.

With cinematography by Abhinandan Ramanujam, Kaappaan is scheduled for release on Independence Day.
