Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi in Shakun Batra’s next?

Deepika Padukone and Gully Boy-fame Siddhant Chaturvedi will star in Shakun Batra’s upcoming film, reports claim. The yet-to-be-titled project will go on floors in March next year. The story reportedly revolves around two couples, one of which will be played by Deepika Padukone and Siddhant. Shakun is planning to cast two more actors in the lead roles. The film will be set in India and produced by Karan Johar. 

Deepika Padukone is presently working on Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak. She has a special appearance opposite Ranveer Singh in ‘83. Siddhant Chaturvedi was noted for his performance in Inside Edge. He shot to fame as Ranveer Singh’s mentor MC Sher in Gully Boy. The actor has since been working on a comedy film, as well as two other projects. He is also back in Inside Edge 2. 

Shakun Bantra made his directorial debut with Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. His 2016 film, Kapoor & Sons, was a critical and commercial success.
