Actor Duniya Vijay, who is making his foray into direction with Salaga, has managed to film the climax in Kadalekai Parishe, one of the biggest events held in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru during the last week of November every year.

Pictures from the filming show that the sequences were shot in midst of a huge crowd at the groundnut fair using six cameras.

Producer Srikanth calls it a first-of-its-kind climax in Kannada. “The first day of the groundnut mela was attended by 50-60,000 people, followed by 30,000 people on the second day. We also had 2,000 junior artistes participating in the shoot. Watching these climax sequences choreographed by action fight masters Vinod and Vijay will surely give goosebumps to the audience.”

Also giving credit to Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao, MLA Ravi Subramanya, corporator Ramesh, and his friends for making the shoot possible, he applauds Duniya Vijay for pulling it all off. “Vijay took a lot of risks to shoot in the midst of a huge crowd. The sequence featuring him and Dhananjay will be a visual treat.”

The team has completed six days of shooting for the climax, and has four more days left. “Since we were interrupted by rain over the last few days, we will be resuming the climax schedule from Thursday. We will recreate a set similar to that at Kadalekai Parishe for this,” says Srikanth.

With around 90 per cent of the shooting of Salaga completed, the team has already started dubbing for the film. “A making video of the film’s climax will be unveiled on December 15,” reveals Srikanth, who is planning to release the film in February, coinciding with the release date of Vijay’s Duniya in 2007.

Salaga has dialogues by Masti, music by Charan Raj, and cinematography by Shiva Seena. The film, starring Achyuth Rao, Sudhi, Triveni Rao, and Yash Shetty, features Sanjana Anand as the female lead.
