A few weeks ago subtitlist Rekhs had complained on Twitter that Lyca Productions had not paid her salary for working on Rajinikanth's 2.0, even after 10 months of the film's release.
When we reached out to the production house, two weeks ago, the spokesperson denied her claims and assured they would produce the exact payment details soon. Now, Lyca has issued an official notice stating that the company usually allots a budget of 50 thousand for a film irrespective of the scale, but, Rekhs demanded a salary two lakhs for 2.0.
"The amount quoted by her was not agreeable to us. Out of her own will, she completed the work and said we could discuss the compensation later. She subsequently reached out to us, but the rate she expected was not acceptable," read the statement.
It also added that her recent claims are false. "Ten days ago we offered to pay her one lakh out of goodwill, even though it was not a part of the budget agreed by us. She wasn't ready to settle for this and demanded 2 lakhs, which is definitely not the market rate."
However, the production house stated that they are still willing to present her one lakh as promised.
