Actor Niharika Konidela has been approached for a crucial role in Allu Arjun's new movie, say reports.

Sources say that the Oka Manasu actor has been offered the role of the Race Gurram star's sister in the actioner directed by Sukumar. While Niharika has given her nod to the makers, she is yet to sign on the dotted line.

"The film needs a young actor, who has both star appeal and girl-next-door looks. When Sukumar was tossing up a few names, it was Allu Arjun who suggested Niharika. She seems to be happy about the way the director has conceived her role and is excited to be a part of the film," informs a source.

Commonly referred to as AA 20, the film set in the backdrops of Rayalaseema and Nellore, is based on red sanders smuggling.

Last seen in Suryakantham, Niharika will next be seen as a warrior in Chiranjeevi-starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
