Akshay Kumar: Good that clash between Sooryavanshi and Inshallah has been averted

Sooryavanshi will now release on March 27, 2020 instead of Eid

Published: 04th August 2019

Sooryanvanshi, Akshay Kumar's film with Rohit Shetty, is set to release on March 27, 2020. Earlier, it was slated to release on Eid 2020, thereby directly clashing with Salman Khan-Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Inshallah at the box-office.

Expressing his happiness about the advanced release date of Sooryavanshi, Akshay Kumar, in an interview, said, "It is always a good sign that the two movies do not come at the same time. However, the clash between any two films is likely to happen. We are making 210 Hindi films and we have 52 weeks in a year so we are bound to have two or more films releasing on the same date."

Despite avoiding a clash with Salman Khan on Eid, Akshay's upcoming film, Bachchan Pandey, which is slated for a release on Christmas 2020, will have no choice but to go up against Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, and Luv Ranjan's film with Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor.
