Overwhelmed by Jersey's success, says director Gowtam Tinnanuri

Actor Nani says he is elated with the response for his latest release, Jersey, and is extremely happy to have worked with director Gowtam Tinnanuri and producer Naga Vamsi.

Speaking at the film’s success meet, hosted by producer Dil Raju (who released the sports drama in Nizam area), Nani said, "My predictions proved true, and the grand success of Jersey has also strengthened my belief that Gowtam will be at the top of his game in the days to come. I thank him for choosing me as Arjun, and I'm delighted to be associated with my producers -- Naga Vamsi and PDV Prasad. Dil Raju has a wonderful judgement."

Gowtam said he was nervous before the release and was constantly worried about the fate of the film. "There is a sense of nervousness given the expectations Nani had of this film. I felt relieved only after reading reviews and listening to positive reports from critics and movie buffs alike. I’m overwhelmed by the success and this encouragement will certainly help me to deliver another good film," the director said.

"Success and failure are an integral part of our lives. But scoring a memorable hit with just his second film is definitely laudable," said Dil Raju of the filmmaker.

Produced under Sitara Entertainments, Jersey was released worldwide last Friday (April 19).
