The Villain targeting 100-crore club

The Villain, which was released over the Dasara weekend has received an overwhelming response from the audience. According to trade pandits, as on Saturday,  the film starring Shivarajkumar and Sudeep, along with Amy Jackson, had made a gross collection of 29 crores, GST and service tax included. They were expecting it to go up to 40 crores by Sunday.

The distributors are hoping that if they get the same kind of collection in the coming days for the next two to three weeks, they might even enter the 100-crore club.

The film directed by Prem has also been released outside Karnataka. The number of shows across the state, and also in Hyderabad, has been increased. The response in UK, Australia, Sydney and other countries is also said to be good.
