Petta teaser to be launched on Rajini's birthday?

With Rajinikanth's 2.0 gearing up for a massive release across the world next week, several sources have begun to speculate that the teaser of his next film, Petta, will be launched on December 12, to coincide with the star's birthday.  

It is also touted that the film's complete album, composed by Anirudh Ravichander,  will be launched on December 16. The film, which marks the first association of the composer with Karthik Subbaraj, stars Trisha, Simran, Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, and Sasikumar in important roles. 

The Sun Pictures production venture is scheduled to hit the screens on Pongal and will clash with Ajith's Viswasam. It is also expected that RJ Balaji's LKG and Simbu's Vandha Rajavaathaan Varuven will also get released on the same date.
