The first look and cast of Kumbalangi Nights have been revealed. The much anticipated film is directed by debutant Madhu C Narayanan, who was an assistant director of Dileesh Pothan and Aashiq Abu. The screenplay is by Syam Pushkaran. This is Pushkaran's first script since Maheshinte Prathikaram that is not co-written by someone else.

Shane Nigam, Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi and Matthew Thomas will play the main characters. And Fahadh Faasil is being eyed for an important role as well.

The film is produced in collaboration with Working Class Hero, the new production company created by Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran, and Fahadh Faasil's production company, Fahadh Faasil and Friends.

The news was confirmed by Madhu C Narayanan, Dileesh Pothan and Aashiq Abu on their respective social media pages.

Syam Pushkaran won a National Award for Maheshinte Prathikaram, which was directed by Dileesh Pothan. With such an immensely talented team backing this project, expectations are naturally sky high.
