Ranveer Singh lends voice to Hindi version of Deadpool 2

Fox Star India, the Indian distributors of the film, broke the news today

With an aim to localise dubbed versions of Hollywood films, studios are turning to Indian stars to dub for big budget films. A case in point being Rana Daggubati of Baahubali-fame voicing the antagonist Thanos in the Telugu version of the recent blockbuster The Avengers: Infinity War. On similar lines, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has now lent his voice to Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool in the Hindi version of the Hollywood film Deadpool 2.

A new Hindi trailer of the film with Ranveer's voice was released yesterday and ended up trending on YouTube. Deadpool 2, sequel to the 2016 film, stars Ryan Reynolds as the anti-hero with a twisted sense of humour. The film also features Josh Brolin (who incidentally played Thanos in Avengers), Morena Baccarin, Zazie Beetz, TJ Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams and American-Indian actor Karan Soni. Directed by David Leitch, who is known for his short-film Deadpool: No Good Deed, Deadpool 2 will be released worldwide on May 18.

Meanwhile, Ranveer will next be seen in Gully Boy directed by Zoya Akhtar.
