Priyanka Chopra to star opposite Chris Pratt
She will be playing the female lead in Universal's Cowboy Ninja Viking
Priyanka Chopra, who recently opted out of the Salman Khan-starrer Bharat, will soon be seen playing the female lead in Universal's Cowboy Ninja Viking. The upcoming action film features Guardians of the Galaxy-star Chris Pratt in the lead.
The film, which is in its pre-production stage, will be directed by Michelle MacLaren, who has previously helmed popular series like Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and The Walking Dead. Dan Mazeau, Ryan Engle, Craig Mazin, Paul Wernick and David Reese have been roped in to write the screenplay of the film.
Cowboy Ninja Viking is based on the on the Image Comics graphic novel of the same name created by writer AJ Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo. Chris Pratt will play the titular character, a formidable agent with the fighting skills and personalities of a cowboy, a ninja, and a Viking.
The film, bankrolled by Guymon Casady and Ben Forkner, alongside Michael De Luca, Mark Gordon and Pratt, is scheduled for release on June 28, 2019.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra, who was last seen alongside Dwayne Johnson, Zac Effron and Alexandria Daddario in Baywatch, is currently awaiting the release of the romcom, Isn't It Romantic?
