Director Prem Kumar's romantic drama 96, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha, is being remade in Telugu and Kannada. While the Kannada version, 99, featuring Ganesh and directed by Preetham Gubbi, will go on floors in January, the Telugu version will a bit longer to go into production.
96 depicts the story of a travel-photographer, who sets off on a path down memory lane as he meets his childhood sweetheart during a high school reunion. According to reports, actor Gopichand has shown interest to play Vijay Sethupathi's role in the Telugu remake, which is to be bankrolled by Dil Raju. That's not all, a source in the know also tells us that Trisha will reprise her role in the Telugu version. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
