Alec Baldwin to play Batman's father in Joker
Philips and Phoenix's Joker is scheduled for release on October 4, 2019
30 Rock actor Alec Baldwin is set to join the sets of the Todd Philips-directed Joker. It is reported that Warner Bros has cast the Mission Impossible: Fallout actor in the role of Thomas Wayne, the father of Bruce Wayne aka Batman.
Baldwin joins a long list of actors, including Robert de Niro, Marc Maron and Frances Corman, who are a part of the film that stars Joaquin Phoenix in the titular role. Philips, famous for the Hangover series, is also co-writing the film that is set to go on floors next month.
This is one of the many versions of Joker that will be hitting the screens. Jared Leto, who played Joker in the 2016-film Suicide Squad, will be reprising his role in the sequel.
Philips and Phoenix's Joker is scheduled for release on October 4, 2019.
