Mubarakan, an emotional experience: Anil Kapoor

The film also stars his nephew Arjun Kapoor in a dual role

Real life uncle and nephew, Anil and Arjun Kapoor, are going to play uncle and nephew on screen in Mubarakan. Anil had suggested Arjun’s name for the film to the makers. During the launch of the film when he was asked about working with Arjun for the first time he said, "He is my brother’s son, but he's more like my son. It was an emotional experience to work with him. It is going to be one of his biggest films."
Arjun who plays a double role in the film says, "It was tough because the two characters I play have a lot of scenes where they talk to each other. So I would shoot a scene as one character and then have to do it again with different dialogues. My writers have helped me, but I had to shoot a lot."
Ask him about working with Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty, and he says, "Ileana has done comedy before, so she would always be prepared for her scenes. It was good to have a co-actor like that, because when you play a double role you already have to work little more than the others. She's done some action sequences in the film as well. As far as Athiya is concerned, it was a learning experience for her as it is her second film, and to be able to be part of her journey was interesting. Her character is the only straight and simple character in the film."
The film is slated to release in July and is directed by Anees Bazmee. It also stars Neha Sharma, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Pawan Malhotra.
