Dulquer Salman, who was last seen in the romantic comedy survival film Comrade in America, will be joining hands with his debut director Srinath Rajendran for a film based on the real-life story of the most wanted criminal Sukumara Kuruppu, the prime accused in the murder of Chacko in 1984.

Dulquer released the first look poster of this project on his Facebook page and said, "Nearly 6 years later I reunite with my brother Srinath Rajendran the director of my debut film Second Show for a very ambitious film. We hope to go on the floors with this film in early 2018."

Chacko was strangled to death and his body was burnt inside a car. Sukumara allegedly committed the crime to fake his own death and claim the insurance amount by killing Chacko who bore an uncanny resemblance to him. He is said to have fled abroad after the incident and has been in hiding for over thirty years now. The Chacko murder case being one of the long-standing cases in the judicial history of Kerala, the untitled film has garnered a lot of attention immediately upon announcement.

Dulquer Salman has just wrapped up the shoot of Solo, an upcoming Tamil-Malayalam bilingual romantic thriller, written and directed by Bejoy Nambiar. This anthology movie is expected to hit the theatres later this year. The actor also recently announced that his next in Tamil will be Ra Karthik's Tamil travelogue.
