Selvaraghavan-Suriya project to begin filming from January
The film will see the actor and director teaming up for the first time
Last year, Dream Warrior Pictures officially announced they would be producing actor Suriya's 36th film under Selvaraghavan's direction. The filmmaker, a while back, updated fans that script work was ongoing and that filming would commence once the screenplay was locked.
Reports now state that Suriya 36 will kick-start production from January. As of now, Suriya is the only big name officially associated with the film. No word has come out on who will play the female lead or score the music, although there were reports back in July stating Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru actor Rakul Preet Singh was being eyed by the makers along with Selvaraghavan favourite, Yuvan Shankar Raja coming on board for the music.
Suriya 36 is slated for a Diwali 2018 release before which the actor's Thaanaa Serndha Koottam will hit screens next month for Pongal. Meanwhile, Selvaraghavan, who is at present filming Mannavan Vanthanadi with Santhanam, awaits the release of his long-delayed Nenjam Marappathillai.
