Chris Evans comments on Captain America/Human Torch spin-off
With the talk surrounding the merger between Disney and 20th Century Fox, the Captain America actor opened up on the possibility of a crossover between the two popular Marvel characters

Chris Evans, known to a whole generation as Captain America in the ever expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has for the first time opened up on a spin-off based on the two superhero characters he has portrayed in his career so far. Prior to landing the role of Captain America on the big screen, Chris Evans starred twice as the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four films released in the mid 2000s.
With the talk surrounding the merger between Disney and 20th Century Fox, there have been many suggesting that the deal will signal the entry of the Fantastic Four characters into the MCU.
Evans, meanwhile, took to Twitter to share his view on the possibility saying,
So who do I talk to about a Cap/Human Torch buddy comedy spin-off? I’m thinking Planes, Trains and Automobiles meets Parent Trap. https://t.co/3KRPZOVzq2

Although the actor appeared to be joking about the spin-off idea, it has made fans curious about the direction Marvel would want to adopt for the Fantastic Four characters, if they do decide to incorporate them in the MCU.
Chris Evans will next be seen reprising his role as Steve Rogers/Captain America in Avengers: Infinity War. The actor will also be starring in The Red Sea Diving Resort, and is likely to have a cameo in Black Panther.
