First look of Nikkhil Advani’s web series Freedom at Midnight out

Director Nikkhil Advani took to social media on Thursday to share the first look photos of his upcoming web-series Freedom at Midnight. The historical-drama stars Chirag Vohra as MK Gandhi, Sidhant Gupta as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Rajendra Chawla as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It is written by Abhinandan Gupta, Adwitiya Kareng Das and Gundeep Kaur, Divya Nidhi Sharma, Revanta Sarabhai, and Ethan Taylor.

Nikkhil shared the first-look photos of the three actors and wrote in the caption, “’Jawahar and Sardar will be like two oxen yoked to the government cart. One will need the other and both will pull together.’ - 𝙈𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙩𝙢𝙖 𝙂𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙝𝙞. First Look of Freedom At Midnight. Honoured and proud to be able to tell the story of India’s Independence.”

The series is based on the book Freedom at Midnight, written by Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins. It tells the story of India’s freedom struggle and is set in the late 1940s.

Freedom at Midnight is produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani through Emmay Entertainment in association with StudioNext and Sony LIV. Nikhil’s last collaboration with Sony LIV was Rocket Boys which told the story of Indian nuclear physicists Homi Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai. He served as the creator and producer of the show.
