We had recently reported about Don Palathara's upcoming film Family getting selected for the International Film Festival Rotterdam, 2023, where it will have its world premiere. The film's trailer is up on the festival's official YouTube channel. It is about a Christian community which finds itself on the brink of scandal in a sensitive social drama.

According to the makers, Family is a serious film with a touch of dark comedy centered around a wealthy family in Idukki. The film attempts to showcase the power hierarchies in the family. It stars Vinay Forrt, Mathew Thomas, Divyaprabha, and Nilja K Baby as the lead. Don has scripted the film with Sherine Catherine. While Jaleel Badusha handles the camera, Basil CJ composes the music.

It is worth a mention that Don Palathara's previous film Everything Is Cinema was also selected for screening at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2021. His other films Shavam, Santhoshathinte Onnam Rahasyam, and 1956, Central Travancore have also been screened at various international film festivals.
