The trailer of filmmaker Vinayan's Pathonpathaam Noottandu is out now. Produced by Gokulam Gopalan, actor Siju Wilson plays the role of Arattupuzha Velayudha Panicker, an Ezhava chieftain who fought against the oppression of the lower castes during the 19th century.

The trailer shows us a glimpse of how the underprivileged, who were not allowed to enter worship places, were punished for building their own shrines. It also shows Nangeli, an Ezhava woman, and Velayudha Panicker's fight against the breast tax and oppressive system.

The big-ticket period drama also stars actors Chemban Vinod, Sudev Nair, Kayadu Lohar, Anoop Menon, Deepti Sati, Sudheer Karamana, Suresh Krishna, Jaffer Idukki, Senthil Krishna Indrans, Poonam Bajwa, and Madhuri Braganza.

While songs are composed by M Jayachandran, Santhosh Narayanan scored the background music. The film's technical crew also includes cinematographer Shaji Kumar and editor Vivek Harshan. With a U/A censor certification, the film is scheduled to release in theatres on September 8, marking the Onam festivity.
