An urgent call from a postal department enquires about a police officer who has gone to Bhopal to catch Kurup. The voice later changes to reveal that of Kurup himself. Thus begins the chilling, visually impressive trailer of Dulquer Salmaan's much-anticipated Kurup, which is finally gearing up for grand theatrical release after a long wait.

The trailer gives us a glimpse of the epic scale that's on offer -- tracking his life from his time in the military to his eventual transformation as an ice-cold killer and subsequent fugitive life. "I came here to be somebody," he says in one scene. "Today or tomorrow, I'll be somebody." Indeed, he did.

Directed by Srinath Rajendran, who made his debut with Dulquer's acting debut Second Show, Kurup has a script by Daniell Sayooj Nair and KS Aravind. The stellar cast also features Sobhita Dhulipala (as Kurup's spouse), Indrajith Sukumaran (as the cop on his trail), Sunny Wayne, Surabhi Lakshmi, and Shine Tom Chacko and Shivajith Padmanabhan as Kurup's accomplices.

Nimish Ravi (Luca) is the director of photography, and Vivek Harshan is the editor. Banglan handled the production design. Sushin Shyam composed the music.

Bankrolled by Dulquer's Wayfarer Films, Kurup will hit theatres on November 12 in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu.
