Murali Gopy to reunite with Tiyaan director Jiyen Krishnakumar

The two had earlier collaborated for Tiyaan, which starred Murali, Indrajith and Prithviraj as the leads

Murali Gopy, one of the most sought-after writers in Malayalam cinema today, has revealed that he will be reuniting with director Jiyen Krishnakumar soon. The two had earlier collaborated for Tiyaan, which starred Murali, Indrajith and Prithviraj as the leads. In a recent interview, Murali said that he will be starting work on the script for Jiyen's film later this year.

Apart from that Murali also has Empuraan, Tyson and a Mammootty project coming up. While Emupraan, the Lucifer sequel, is set to go on floors shortly, it is not yet known when Tyson will begin production. It is an ambitious project that will have Prithviraj doubling up as the director and lead actor. Billed as a social thriller, it is backed by Hombale Films, the Karnataka-based banner that produced the KGF Films and Kantara.

Murali's film with Mammootty will be directed by Shibu Basheer, a former journalist. The writer has confirmed that the project will start rolling next year. Vijay Babu's Friday Film House will be producing it.

Meanwhile, Jiyen Krishnakumar's new Tamil film Run Baby Run, a thriller starring RJ Balaji and Aishwarya Rajesh, is set to hit screens on February 3. In 2019, the director had announced another Tamil film titled Paramguru with Sasikumar as the lead. However, the film is yet to be released.
