Karthi's Sardar teaser to be screened in theatres with Ponniyin Selvan

Amidst huge expectations, Ponniyin Selvan 1 is hitting screens tomorrow. The film directed by Mani Ratnam stars Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the leads. It will be a double treat for Karthi fans in theatres tomorrow as the teaser of his upcoming film Sardar will also be screened during the interval break. The PS Mithran directorial is scheduled for a Deepavali release.

Sardar stars Karthi in the double role of a father and son. Raashii Khanna and Rahisha Vijayan are the female leads in the film, which has music by GV Prakash. It also stars Laila, Yugi Sethu, Murali Sharma and Munishkanth in pivotal roles. Backed by Prince Pictures, the film has George C Williams as the cinematographer and Anthony Ruben as the editor.

Karthi is next in talks with director Raju Murugan. There is a buzz going around that the film has been titled Japan, but an official confirmation is still awaited.
