Prithviraj-Alphonse Puthren film Gold censored

The much-awaited Prithviraj-Alphonse Puthren film Gold has been censored with a U certificate and runtime of 165 minutes. With that, the film is confirmed to hit screens on December 1. Along with the original Malayalam version, it is also set to be released simultaneously in Tamil.

Gold marks Alphonse's return to direction after seven long years. Besides scripting and directing, he has also handled the film's editing, stunts, VFX, and animation. Viswajith Odukkathil and Anend C Chandran have handled the cinematography, and music is by Rajesh Murugesan.

Gold has Nayanthara as the female lead. The cast includes Roshan Mathew, Ajmal Ameer, Lalu Alex, Chemban Vinod Jose, Vinay Forrt, Shine Tom Chacko, Prem Kumar, Baburaj, Mallika Sukumaran, Shammi Thilakan, Jagadish, Deepti Sathi, and Shanti Krishna among others. The makers have also hinted that many other popular actors will be appearing in cameo roles in the film.

Prithviraj Productions and Listin Stephen's Magic Frames are jointly backing Gold.
